What is RECUP?

RECUP, Germany’s largest reusable system, is simple and practical:

1. Order a to-go drink in a RECUP and pay a €1 deposit.
2. Enjoy your drink on the go as usual.
3. Return the RECUP to one of around 20,000 partners and get your deposit back.

This is your contribution to eliminating single-use waste!

Using RECUP is now twice as rewarding thanks to the bgood app! Every time you use or return a RECUP, you collect Seeds that you can easily exchange for discounts or a good deed.

Where can you borrow a RECUP?

RECUP is available in Germany and Austria. If you’re not in either of those countries and want to use RECUP, or want to introduce us to a similar system, you can contact us here.

If you’d like to borrow a RECUP, filter for RECUP partners on the bgood map and visit one of the participating coffee places or restaurants.

How can you collect Seeds with RECUP?

There are 3 ways to collect Seeds with RECUP and the bgood app:

Borrow

Borrow a RECUP from any partner (you can find RECUP partners by filtering on the bgood map). Then scan the cup to collect Seeds.

Reuse

Reuse your RECUP as many times as you want at a coffee shop or RECUP partner place. Scan your cup while there to collect Seeds.

Return

Return the cup to a RECUP partner or a REWE supermarket (only available in Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg) to get your deposit back. Scan your RECUP there to receive more Seeds.

Return RECUP at the REWE deposit machine in Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg:

• If you are in Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, search the bgood map for a REWE supermarket near you.
• Scan the RECUP with the bgood app to collect Seeds.
• Make sure the cup is clean and return it to the REWE deposit machine like a deposit bottle.
